A beautiful day

Went to Kohl's. Got shoes for the hubby, pants for my mom. Went to Home Depot and bought sand for Camilla's newest toy. Enjoyed a couple of hours of kids-free time. Put together Camilla's sandbox. Cuddled on the couch with little Logan. Had a delicious dinner. Watched Camilla played with Ita in the sandbox... for a long time.

A lovely day.

One month check up

Has it really been one motnh since I had Logan?? Oh my! I can't believe my little one is one month old; time sure flies. No pictures this time, though I'll be adding some soon. I remember with Camilla we took pictures every other day... lat time I got the camera out Logan was two weeks old... so I need to do better at taking pics of the little guy.

Yeah, the little guy: Let me tell you, he's SO not little. He's 12 lbs! No wonder my arm and back hurt! He's at the 98 percentile for his weight, and the 95 percentile for his height (he's at 23 inches now). Crazy stuff! I mean, I thought Camilla was big... Logan puts her to shame!

Overall, we're doing ok. Logan usually wakes up twice during the night, but I keep hoping one of these days will get to sleep more. At least I feel like I'm getting used to sleeping in chunks of three hours! He is pretty good during the day, though sometimes he'll fight sleep like crazy. All I can say is that the bouncer and the swing are my best friends these days!

Camilla is doing great. I am always amazed at how much she talks and understands now. It's also very cute to listen to her speak Spanglish ("Mama, I want mas" or "onw, two, three, four, cinco!) . She loves having her grandma (Ita) around, and it's going to be hard when Ita goes home. We'll manage though.

Hunter was sick last week (strep throat... yuck!), but is doing much better now. Work is a bit slow, but we're hoping things pick up soon.

Ok, that's it for now. Too tired! Will post pics soon... hopefully!

Family life

Here are some pics of what we've been doing lately!

Good father-daughter time... (Nevermind the binkie... One battle I am not ready to face)
Hunter's co-workers got this shirt for Logan: I love it!

My wonderful mom made this cute hat for Logan. He looks so handsome!

Father and son wearing matching colors (almost!)

Yup, family life is gret these days :) I do, however, sometimes think of the pre-Logan days... Here is what I miss the most:

1.Taking 30 minutes to get ready for the day: I think it took me all of 10 minutes to take a shower and get dressed today (and that included putting some make up on... I was impressed!)

2. "Me" time: Before Logan I would get up early and have a good hour or so to pay bills, read my scriptures, sew, blog, or do something "fun" (hmmm, ok, paying the bills was not fun). Now it's pretty much limited to 10 minutes here and there.
3. Having "one on one" time with Camilla: We used to spend a good 30 minutes each day reading, or playing outside, or just having fun. We still have time together, but it's usually interrupted by a crying baby, or a baby that needs to be burped, or dinner, or something...

Ok, so the list could go on... However, here are the things I love about having Logan here:

1. He's just so cute! I love the way he smiles, or how he stares at penguins (yes, my son LOVES penguins), or how he's just so adorable... yes, I am biased, I know :)
2. How Camilla loves Logan: She loves to give him kisses, and is the first one to run to him when he's crying. I think it's adorable.

3. Logan makes me happy. I love having two kiddos, and although some days are hard (and there have been a few of those) and I wish I could just go away for a day, I know that better days always come. So, to sum up, we're doing great :)

2 weeks into it...

So... it's been two weeks since Logan was born... amazing how time just seems to fly! It seems like with Camilla I wanted time to fly by, so she could be older and "easier." No such thing with Logan... he's such a relaxed little boy, who only cries if he's hungry, or needs to be burped, or is just too tired. Time seems to fly... which is probably very related to the fact that now I have two kids to care for!

Logan's weight was 8 lbs 12 oz as of last Thursday. I know he's gotten taller since newborn diapers, nor newborn clothes seem to fit anymore. Crazy! We are sure loving having Logan in our home, and Camilla absoultely adores him. So cute to watch!

Last Saturday we went to the Zoo. Camilla had a great time, and Logan slept during the whole trip!

And that's it for now. Things are great, and I am so happy :)
