A wonderful time in Valencia

This past weekend Hunter took Friday off and we drove down to Valencia. Grandpa Elmo, who we last saw in December of 2007, has been in town for the past few days, so we decided to visit and enjoy his company. It was nice to talk to him... and to enjoy some of his delicious green chili burrito!

Camilla LOVED having so many people to play with, and warmed up to almost everyone (Jake, I promise she'll warm up next time! It seems to take her some time!) She had a blast playing with cousins Sierra and Ashton, and Travis' and Miriam's dog Maui. She absolutely LOVED spending time with Grandma and Grandpa Young.

Aunt Pam and Aunt Leanne were also in town last weekend, so we were able to spend time with them! Thank you Pam for taking pictures, and special thanks to Leanne for cutting Camilla's hair! It looks lovely!

On Saturday night, Janelle and Leanne watched the kids while Hunter, me, Travis (Hunter's twin brother) and his wife Miriam, and Jake (Hunter's older brother) and his wife Vanessa went to the temple. It was great to spend time with my wonderful brothers and sisters in law (and the hubby of course!) The night had the perfect ending since we went to Chili's for dinner... Yum!
We drove back on Sunday morning. It was a short, but very relaxing trip! Thank you Terry and Janelle for having us over. We love spending time with you!
As to this week: Our backyard should be finished this Saturday! Pics to come when (and if) it happens :)

Havin' fun!

These are some pictures I should have added to my last post: Who would have known that egg cartons could provide so much fun?!

(Not her best shot... but at least we're together!)

Camilla waiting for cookies to cook all the way... she can quite impatient sometimes (most of the time)

These are from yesterday afternoon. We made "cake" as she called it. They were brownies, and although cakey and not very good (I must confess... trying out new recipes can be a pain sometimes...), the little one loved them. She's still asking for more "cake"!

This one is from this morning: Camilla is my little partner in crime... Let me explain:
I have a new hobby, one that makes my husband happy and that makes me EXTREMELY happy.
I am couponer.
Yes, it is true. I must say I am an EARLY beginner couponer, but what a good feeling it is to know that I walked out of Target this morning with all of the things shown in this pic:
for $2.19!
(Camilla is holding three packs of gum, and she is NOT included in the $2.19 :)
Camilla is my little helper when it comes to throwing things into the cart. And let's face it, the fact that she takes a nap and goes to bed by 8 p.m. gives me time to collect my coupons...
We'll see what great deals I can get this week :)
And that's it for now. At least I did take some pictures this weekend!
