The Pretty and The Not So Pretty

The pretty

Camilla: My soon to be 2 1/2 year old has started talking like crazy! She'll tell you exactly what she wants, and how she wants it done! And she's been very fascinated with the Lion King lately (the baby and the momma lion, she does not care that much about Mufasa). She's still a very active little girl, but believe it or not, she's slowing down, and loves "reading" books and having them read to her. I'm just so in love with my girl!

Hunter: Hunter turned 29 on Monday! He's such a happy camper, hard to do when you have to wake up at 4.45 am due to Seminary or work! And, keeping with our traditions, I made him a yellow cake with chocolate frosting for his big day!

(I know, the candles are wrong, but that's al I had... so we had to improvise!)

Thanks to the Dailys for coming out and celebrating with us!
Rosa: I am loving the warm weather! It is just sooo gorgeous! I am trying to stay on top of my scrapbooking, and I'm also doing some sewing here and there. My latest hobby is couponing, and I love getting things for free or getting paid because I bought something :) More than anything, I have discovered I love stock-piling and making sure we don't run out of things! And... two good freinds from our ward decided to throw a friend and I a baby shower! These girls did such a wonderful job! The company, food.. everything was just amazing!
The not so pretty
Hunter: Hunter has had a couple of busy weeks at work, which translates into very early mornings even when he's not teaching Seminary. But... we're very grateful that he's able to stay busy!
Camilla: Camilla's favorite thing to say this days is "I want..." followed by whatever comes to her little mind. She also gets frustrated at time because I don't understand what she says (and I feel the same way!) However, this too shall pass :)
Rosa: I just made it past 34 weeks, and I'm getting pretty uncomfortable! The baby is still moving like crazy, but it now hurts when he does, so I'm in some sort of pain a good chunk of the day (besides the all-too-common-by-now contractions!). I am also not as fast as I know I can be (I blame that on the 20 something extra pounds I now carry!), and my patience sometimes runs very low. But... I am doing well, and things could always be worse :)
So there you have it! Here's a pic of my tummy... getting big!

And although this is not my best shot... Camilla looks so cute I had to post this. She truly keeps me on my toes, and I love it!

Organize this, organize that, and our backyard!

Yep, I'm on nesting mode. I guess I hadn't noticed until yesterday, when I realized that in four days I had: deep cleaned the refrigerator and microwave, organized our snack shelf, and our hallway closet.

I guess I should've known it was coming since a few weeks ago I cleaned up our bathroom vanity and our office suplies shelf!

On a different note... Here it is: Our backyard!
Oh wait! Where's the green stuff? Yeah, well, we decided to plant seeds instead of buying sod due to financial reasons :) And although it looks like a mud pile (it's being raining every day this week I think), it's our backyard! Hunter spent I-don't-know-how-many hours out there rototilling, working with manure, removing existing tress (two of them... three, if you count the little lemon tree we had, which was always pested with ants), and by the end, digging trenches so we could install a new sprinkler and drainage system (the old one never worked properly for us).
I spent a few hours out there weeding, and putting PVC lines together (with Hunter's help of course)... at night... from 8.15 till 10.30 p.m. three nights in a row... And although there wasn't much I could do (you can't expect much from a 7 1/2 month pregnant lady, other than not going into labor from sitting on the ground for so long), Hunter and I spent time together, and we liked that.
So... hopefully we'll have pictures with some "green stuff" in a few weeks. There are still things we'll do eventually (planters, flower pots, etc), but we'll get there. For now, we're happy the seeds are IN!
