One week to go

Christmas will be here in ONE week. How did that happen? How did 2011 go by so fast? Is it possible that, as my children get older, life keeps moving faster... and faster? That's the only conclusion I can come up with. So, the whole "enjoy your children while they're young" bit proves to be true. Because, although some days seem SO long, kids do grow up quickly.

What have we been up to? The usual I guess: School three time a week, music time at the Church, story time at the Library, plenty of park time here and there, meals cooked and eaten, cookies baked and delivered, playdates planned and executed... you get the picture. We have made an effort to listen to as much Christmas music as possible, and to remember Baby Jesus, as Camilla calls Him, very frequently.

We acted out the Nativity story for Family Home Evening. Camilla was Mary, Dad was Joseph, I was a shepperd, and Logan was Baby Jesus. Dora and her two friends were the Three Wise Men... they even brought gifts for Jesus (like a green string...)

Santa came to Camilla's school. She had a great time with friends!

Today we went to the Children's Habitot Museum in Berkeley, and helped decorate a huge gingerbread house. The kids had a blast! And Logan loved being surrounded by so much candy.

Logan throwing a tantrum... such is the life of a 20 month old.

And, just for the record, here's Camilla at age 4 showing me her dance moves. I LOVE it.

And there you have it. We're looking forward to Christmas... family, good food, happy smiles... and hopefully not too many tantrums! I can't wait to see my kiddos' face when they see what Santa brought for them... a little boy that I know will be getting some sort of red, furry new friend, and a little girl I know is getting some sort of building for her Barbie dolls. I can't wait!

Merry Christmas!
