Pool

The past few days have been hot around here, which means that Camilla and I run our errands early in the day, and then pretty much hibernate at home until the late afternoon/evening. Well, a couple of days ago I decided I'd be a cool mom and let Camilla play in the water. So I got out a container I use for our laundry at times. It's rectangular, about a foot long on each side, and about 5 inches deep. I filled it up with water and put Camilla's bath tub toys in it. The little girl had a blast!

The first two or so days she would play with her toys, and then dump the water, getting all wet in the process. Then about three days ago she would get her feet in the water (and manage to get all wet again). Finally, she decided that if she could ger het feet in, her whole body must get in an well... So here's Camilla, squatting inside of this small container, not able to even move, and giving me this look, saying, "Now what momma?"

After that I decided it was time for a small pool. After trying 2 Wal-marts, Target and Toy R Us (we were looking for a plastic, round kiddie pool), we ended up buying an inflatable one. We tried it out this morning.. and the little one had a blast. She cried when we said it was lunch time. Check out these pics and video:

Ramdon pic: Camilla can be very attached to her binkies sometimes. Here she is, holding on to her two binkies, while at the same time trying to hold on to her bottle.. she would not let go of any of those three things!

Too cute not to post

So, we finish FHE (a two minute lesson thanks to our ever active little girl) and Hunter asks me, "Would you like some quiet time?" I don't think twice, and just thank my luck stars for a wonderful husband who understands me and who knows (more than me at times) when I need a break. Let's just say it was a long day: being sick while taking care of a toddler is no fun... Anyhow, so off to Home Depot they go.

So this is my quiet time: I am sitting in front of the computer, just chilling... and loving it. Then I remembered that my sis-in-law, Miriam, took some cute pictures of Camilla last week (Thanks Miriam!). Camilla will never pose for me.. she usually wants to grab the camera and take her own pictures. But when Miriam would ask her "Do you want me to take a picture of you," Camilla would say, "Yeah," and pose right there for her! So I got a few cute looking photos of my baby girl.

Enjoy!

I love this smile

Camilla is growing so fast. She understand tons! I love it.. when she does what I ask her! I think sometimes she plays the "I don't understand what you are saying mom so I won't do it" kind of card. That's ok. It is worth in the end.
Anyhow, off to reading some Nicholas Sparks book (just found out a new book of his is coming out in a couple of months.. yay!). Needless to say, quiet time keeps me sane.. and happy :)

2009 Vacation in Utah!

Well, we did it! We drove down to Utah (about a 12 hour drive) to spend the 4th with family and freinds. We had a blast. I took so many pictures I don't know what to do with myself! Although the trip was long (and Hunter and I both commented on the fact that the next time we do this we might just be flying to Utah), we had a great time. Camilla was such a trooper, especially considering the fact that she's so active all the time.

We had a great time with Hunter's parents and brothers and their families. I was also able to spend some time with my brother who is studying at BYU. It was great to visit the hospital where I used to work (Utah Valley Medical Center in Provo) and catch up with people. I also visited the MTC Cafeteria.. the wonderful place where Hunter and I met. And Hunter went fishing and enjoyed being out with the guys.

In summary, we had a wonderul time. We are very grateful for the fact that we were able to stay at my aunt's house in Bountiful. It was nice to see them too!
Now it's time to get back into the swing of things... we look forward to our next little vacation next month (going down to Hunter's parents' house). We are doing well. Just keeping busy as usual. Actually, Camilla is keeping us busy as usual :) Take care and hope you enjoy the pics.
