Has it really been that long since the last time I blogged? Time sure flies. Well, not much is new around here! Hunter is busy as usual with work, I am busy as usual keeping up with Camilla, and Camilla is active and toddler-like as always. The weather has been nice lately so we've been hitting the park as much as possible. We were all sick with a cold for a little while (oh the joys of everyone in the family getting sick one after another) but now we are all healthy and ready to enjoy the nice weather.
One exciting thing is that Hunter and I bought a house this past week! We are very happy about this... there's a long story behind it. I'll summarize: We put in an offer on this house when it was marked as a short sale. The owner agreed to our offer (25 K below the asking price), but the investor who owned the property said no. So after much waiting, we did not get it :( Snif, snif... Anyhow, this was back in November 2008. So Hunter and I decided to keep looking, confident that we could find something better (after all, the house we bid on was one of the first ones we saw). After seeing 25-plus houses, Hunter and I kept going back to the first house! Our realtor kept checking and checking, especially after that first house went into foreclosure. And then, when we least expected, it came on the market on a Friday. We immediately got together and signed all the papers, and put in an offer for the full asking price. Call it good luck, or maybe just how things are, but that week we put in our offer was full of rain... I think it rained everyday! That was good since apparently few people go house hunting in rainy weather. Anyhow, after much wait and sending papers back and forth, I got an email today with the contract all signed by the bank, with us as the buyers!
So there, maybe I sould have summarized more, but now you understand why we a re so happy about this. We waited 5 months for this house, and it is so worth it. Let's hope (keeping our finger crossed) that the home and other inspections check out ok :)
We'll keep you posted. Now... here are some pictures of Camilla.. her hair is getting SO long!

"Mom, what are you doing?"

I love this picture... I need to crop myself out!

That Camilla's favorite CareBear... the bear goes everywhere, and it's the first one to comfort her when she has a tantrum or when she is just crying in general.
Hope you are all having a great week! Take care!
