Family Day

Yesterday we had a great family day. The kids (and myself included) look forward to the weekend since we know it means Daddy gets to be home with us. Camilla starts asking about the weekend as soon as Monday comes around. And sweet little Logan loves spending time with Daddy outside, and cries if you have to get him inside.

On Friday we had a delicious dinner with good friends. The kids played really well. And although they sure left a mess behind, they had the greatest time, and that makes it worth it.

On Saturday we went to Saint Domiano Retreat in Danville. They have a 2/3 of a mile hike that is just beautiful. We loved it. After naps (I should just say nap... Logan is the only one that takes it!), we got together with friends again and went to downtown Walnut Creek to take a look at a street Art Show. Then we had dinner together at Buckhorn (yummy sandwiches for us!) Finally, we made it home and I watched the Relief Society broadcast while Daddy took care of the kids.

It was a wonderful day. I love the fact that, although Daddy had to step out twice during the day to help someone, we still had lots of time together. And did I mention Daddy painted Camilla's toenails and fingernails??? He's the best, I know. I am very blessed.

Now on to Church... and then a delicious pot roast dinner. Yeah, my mouth is watering. Can't beat meat cooking in the crockpot for TEN hours! Sweeeet!

Preschool, Valencia, and Pixieland!

This little munchkin started preschool at Baldwin Park this morning. She loved it! No tears from her, or me. She's soooo ready for school!

Also, for Labor Day weekend, we decided to drive to Valencia and spend a couple of days at Grandma and Grandpa Young's. The kids loved spending time with the, and with aunts, uncles and COUSINS! I wish I had pictures of all the little one playing together. Needless to say, Camilla and Logan had a blast!

We went to Griffith's Park and enjoyed the train ride.

Out of place picture! Kids during our drive home!
Camilla and Grandpa Young!

Camilla LOVED the pony ride.

Kids on the drive to Valencia (we hit the road at 4.45 a.m.). Logan got a bit car sick on the way there... lesson learned: Never give a bottle to a semi-sleeping toddler any time before 6 a.m. The consequences will be smelly and disgusting...

And a recent visit to Pixieland (our home version of Disneyland). The kids had fun!
